Team camps have exposed college coaches, and the rest of the state, to a new group of players. The month of June has used the JSE, and other events, to give girls exposure they did not have prior. This has created a new group of preps to know and watch going forward. In this team camp review, we will highlight the names of players to know going forward from June.

Kailayah Malcolm (Ouachita | 2025) – The Ouachita senior was highly impressive during team camp play at Parkway. Malcolm is a player who sees the floor extremely well. When she gets the ball in the high post or free throw line extended, she finds cutters with ease. Malcolm is also good at attacking from that part of the floor. Her high level of play keeps teams honest and allows her to make the right plays for her team.

Kaleah Crawford Kaleah Crawford 6'1" Red River | 2027 LA (Red River | 2026) – Crawford is a big target in the post. She is agile and moves her feet well to gain positioning. Crawford also has good hands which allows her to catch errant passes as well. It also seems that Kaleah is adding more face ups to her game. Her play at Parkway was a preview to how her game is evolving. With her height and rebounding skill, the junior post may become a big threat for Red River in the middle.

Kourtney Sepulvado (Zwolle | 2025) – When it comes to spot up shooting, Sepulvado has been one of the best I have seen this summer. Her ability to catch and shoot as she moves off of screens is very good. Sepulvado does not take long to prepare her feet and she takes less time to fire. She also displayed the ability to play passing lanes and gather steals. Her movement and shooting ability make her a catch-and-shoot threat to watch.

Kylise Edgerson Kylise Edgerson 5'6" Captain Shreve | 2026 LA (Captain Shreve | 2026) – When Captain Shreve needed a player to get after it on the floor, Edgerson was the one to crank things up. During the JSE team camp, she did everything for the Lady Gators. Edgerson played at the top of the Gator pressure defense and caused quite a few turnovers. Kylise also convert turnovers into points herself. Whether it was diving on the floor to create extra possessions for her team. Edgerson played at a high level.

Mahogany Johnson Mahogany Johnson 6'2" | C Parkway | 2025 State LA (Parkway | 2025) – Parkway may have found a post presence during their play on Mondays. Johnson is a young lady who will anchor herself on the block and provide a big target to the guards on the wing. She is able to score with either hand on offense as well. On the defensive end, she provides an intimidating presence when guards drive. Johnson also consumes all rebounds near here. She is a player fit for this team.

Genesis Ashley (Southwood | 2025) – Genesis is a guard who has finally seeing the floor in her senior campaign. With the way she has played this summer, she is definitely trying to make an impact. Ashley is good at pushing the ball up the floor and always probes for an advantage. She also has a pull-up, mid-range jumper that she regularly makes. Another ball-handling guard is what the Lady Cowboys need and Ashley fits the bill.

There are more young ladies that will hit the scene as the summer goes on. With more young ladies being seen during June, there will be more players to be recruited. We will definitely take a look at other young ladies as we transition from June to July.
