Moira can definitely shut down in moments of crisis, but she's more often than not completely resourceful. She knows to respond to a hectic or embarrassing situation, especially when it's involving her family.
When Johnny's speech at Bob's brother's funeral is quickly going downhill, Moira stands up and beautifully performs 'Danny Boy' to save her husband from further embarrassing himself. It's ridiculous, but it's actually pretty redeemable, and proves that Moira is a pretty great partner to Johnny.
Organized: The Surprise Party
The organization and determination of Moira Rose is certainly unmatched. When she has a vision for something, she's relentless in making sure her perfect dream is achieved. She also is pretty great at planning events.

When David is trying to plan a surprise party for Moira, they try to make it seem like a 'charity event.' Of course, Moira can't help but get involved to ensure everything is perfect. No one will forget her trying to pretend she didn't see it coming.
Adventurous: The Enchiladas
No one can say that Moira doesn't like to try new things. She's always up for something fun or inventive, and she's very much like Alexis in the sense that she likes surprises and spontaneity.
There are so many examples of Moira doing something adventurous, but there might not be anything as memorable as her agreeing to make enchiladas and enlisting David's help. It certainly doesn't go as planned, but she didn't give up, and it marked a pretty hysterical mother and son moment.
Persistent: Running For Council
This character sets her mind to something and is pretty unwilling to back off from it until it's achieved. When she decides to make some positive changes to the town, there's no turning back for Moira Rose.
It all started with wanting flowers in front of the house, and then it turned into an awkward back-and-forth between Johnny and Moira deciding who was going to run for council. Obviously, this power couple figured it out. Ultimately, Moira is very persistent, and she wanted to get things done.
Cunning: The Campaign Signs
This might seem like a negative trait, but it's actually the greatest compliment when it comes to Moira Rose. She knows what to say and what to do to get her way, and she's cunning and sly.

It's really hard to forget when Moira's campaign signs 'went missing,' and the dramatic outcry she had over it. Of course, Johnny found them all in the dumpster behind the motel. Everyone was applauding Moira for her efforts, though.
Confident & Bold: Buying A Car
Moira Rose is Moira Rose, and there is nothing that will take her unique personality away from her. She is bold and confident in everything she does; Moira doesn't back down, and she is true to herself and her goals.
Her dramatic flair and bold nature is as hysterical as it is admirable. While it went totally sideways, no one can deny that Moira's performance as a 'low class' car buyer wasn't absolutely perfect. It was Moira as bold and beautiful as ever.
Caring: Alexis' Graduation
When Alexis decides, far too late, that she actually does care about graduating high school and having her family there, Moira is adamant that she already had plans made and couldn't attend. To everyone's shock, she shows up with the Jazzagals and performs the lead.
It's a heartwarming and memorable moment, and is the perfect scene to show that Moira does actually deeply care about her family, even if she sometimes struggles to show it. She's supportive and caring when it counts, and this is one of her best parenting moments by far.
Understanding: The Bed-Wetting
From David's sexuality to Alexis' marketing company to Johnny's ambition for the motel, Moira is actually incredibly understanding and supportive. She may be a bit blunt and harsh, but she also understands how her family is feeling.

There might be no better example than David's bed-wetting incident at Patrick's apartment. While he's horrified, Moira makes no big deal of it, and even explains it lovingly to Patrick. Despite accidentally live-streaming it, Moira's intentions were pure.

There's no character as unique and unconventional as Moira Rose. Describing her as eccentric only scrapes the surface. Of course, there is no bigger reason for fans to absolutely adore this character.
Her moment on the red carpet for the long-awaited premiere of her movie is one of the most iconic scenes from the show,and certainly one of her best outfits. Of course, it also had some pitfalls, but no one will forget her stunning gown and her eccentric speech.
Strong-Willed: Rebooting Sunrise Bay
Moira doesn't let people walk all over her. She is stubborn and she knows her worth. It makes for great entertainment on the show, but it's also extremely admirable and is one of her most redeeming traits. Moira is strong-willed and powerful.
When her old boss and co-worker try to get her in on a reboot of "Sunrise Bay,"Moira knows that she won't concede to lowball terms for people who don't value her. It works out, since the producer chooses her and meets her demands. Every fan can admire this, and will always remember Moira receiving her shiny tennis bracelet.
