Highlights

  • Destiny 2 is more fun with friends, but solo players can earn exclusive exotics by completing Legend and Master Lost Sectors alone.
  • Certain Lost Sectors are easier and more efficient to farm for materials, such as Bay of Drowned Wishes and Perdition.
  • Players should bring appropriate weapons and subclass effects to handle the various Champions in each Lost Sector, and focus on taking out long-range enemies to make the activities easier.

Usually, people will want to play Destiny 2 with their friends as it is one of those games that gets much more fun when there are a few buddies around to play with. However, some activities, like Legend and Master Lost Sectors, yield better rewards when done solo, meaning exclusive exotics for Destiny 2 players to use in their builds.

Lost Sectors are not challenging, especially on Legend difficulty, especially when using optimal anti-champion equipment. However, some are much easier than others to complete and are way more efficient to farm for materials. Here are some of the best Lost Sectors to farm, and some tips and tricks on how to complete them.

8 Bay Of Drowned Wishes

The Dreaming City Lost Sector Comes With Some Long-Range Threats

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (2)
  • Located in the Divalian Mists in the Dreaming City
  • 2 Unstoppable and 2 Overload Champions
  • Long-Range enemies in certain areas

Aphelion's Rest isn't too challenging to complete. Still, certain areas can be pretty frustrating, especially the opening area, meaning trying to tackle this Lost Sector without some helpful exotics, like the Hunter's Omnioculus Chestpiece, might make this activity even more difficult.

There are 4 Champions in this Lost Sector: 2 Unstoppable Champions and 2 Overload Champions. Make sure to bring the appropriate weapons and subclass effects to handle these enemies. With a solid loadout and some patience, players will eventually become consistent at running this Lost Sector relatively quickly.

7 Perdition

This Vex Lost Sector Comes With Some Threatening Enemies

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (3)
  • Located on Europa in the Cadmus Ridge
  • Wyverns are the main threat
  • 2 Barrier and 2 Overload Champions

Perdition is quite frustrating to complete, but it is on the shorter side, meaning that once players begin to understand how to run the Lost Sector, completions will become much faster. Certain builds on Titan in particular can destroy this Lost Sector thanks to the high damage potential from Berserker.

Players will encounter 4 Champions. 2 Barrier and 2 Overload Champions are quite frustrating to deal with. However, many will find the Wyverns on the upper floor to be the most annoying enemies here. A good tip to defeat these enemies is that their finisher threshold is incredibly high (around 40% hp), meaning that using a finisher on these enemies is incredibly efficient.

6 Bunker E15

This Europan Lost Sector Is Very Dangerous In Certain Areas

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (5)
  • In the Eventide Ruins on Europa
  • 2 Barrier Champions and 2 Overload Champions
  • Cyclops and Snipers are dangerous

Bunker E15 is relatively easy but can be a tad annoying in specific areas unless players use certain Exotic armor pieces to make their time easier. To help Guardians out, there are certain 'vex boxes' as seen in the screenshot. Destroying the vex cube will release some BrayTech support frames to aid in combat. While they aren't entirely helpful, they are better than nothing.

Bunker E15 contains 2 Barrier Champions, and 2 Overload Champions. The second main area of this Lost Sector is the most annoying section, as the Barrier Champions spawn there, as well as a few Hobgoblin Snipers and a Cyclops. Players should look to take out the Cyclops and the Hobgoblins as fast as possible to make their time here easier.

5 Aphelion's Rest

Stasis Enemies Can Make This Lost Sector Annoying

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (6)
  • Located in The Strand in the Dreaming City
  • Champions are tightly packed in the middle section
  • 2 Unstoppable Champions and 2 Overload Champions

Aphelion's Rest is one of the fastest Lost Sectors once mastered. However, there are a ton of enemies and quite a few Stasis-wielding Acolytes, potentially making this Lost Sector more troublesome for some. Players should make sure they bring a high-damage loadout to nuke the final boss if possible.

Destiny 2: Best Raid Exotics, Ranked

Destiny 2's best exotics come through as rewards within their challenging raids.

This Lost Sector contains 2 Unstoppable Champions, and 2 Overload Champions. The opening area is very simple, however, as you progress further into the second part of the cave, things become a little more complicated. Players should look to take down the Overload Champion from range before moving up to engage the Unstoppable Champion.

4 Concealed Void

This Vex Lost Sector Has A Few Tricks Up Its Sleeve

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (8)
  • In the Asterion Abyss on Europa
  • Short, but certain areas are dangerous
  • 2 Barrier and 2 Overload Champions

The Concealed Void Lost Sector is pretty short, but there are a few tricky sections that can catch players out, especially the area right before the boss with exploding Shanks. Thankfully, players can use powerful Solar weapons to take advantage of the weekly surge modifier to deal a bit more damage.

With a total of 4 Champions (2 Barrier and 2 Overload Champions), players should definitely gear their loadouts toward handling these Champion types. Playing it safe, and focusing on taking out long-range enemies, especially in the middle section with the platforms will make this Lost Sector much easier.

3 The Quarry

This EDZ Lost Sector Has Quite A Packed Boss Room

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (9)
  • Found in the Sunken Isles in the EDZ
  • 2 Barriers and 2 Unstoppables
  • Boss Room can be quite hectic

The Quarry is split into only 2 sections, with a small area connecting the two parts of the cave. While there are a few methods to handle beefier enemies, using a good Suspension build on Strand Warlock will make this Lost Sector much easier.

This Lost Sector once again contains 4 Champions, 2 Barriers, and 2 Unstoppables. They are spread throughout the Lost Sector, making it easier to handle them as if they are packed together, things can get quite tricky. The boss room is quite busy, but players can take out the Barrier Champion quickly on the high ground to make their time a bit easier.

2 Chamber Of Starlight

This Dreaming City Lost Sector Is Very Fast And Simple

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (11)
  • Located in Rheasiliva in the Dreaming City
  • Very short, but the Boss area has some snipers
  • 3 Unstoppable Champions and 1 Overload Champion

Chamber of Starlight is incredibly short, meaning it is very efficient for farming solo. Players can take advantage of the weekly surge modifiers to make their time even easier in this Lost Sector. The final boss area has a few snipers in the back, so make sure to take care of them first to avoid any hassle.

This Lost Sector is mostly populated by Unstoppable Champions, with there being 3 of them compared to the single Overload Champion present. Make sure to bring anti-Unstoppable gear in order to make this Lost Sector a breeze.

1 Skydock 4

A Very Short And Easy Clear

Destiny 2: Best 8 Lost Sectors To Farm, Ranked (12)
  • Located in the Sunken Isles in the EDZ
  • 3 Unstoppable Champions and 1 Barrier Champion
  • Incredibly fast to run for the average player

Skydock 4 takes the top spot as the best Lost Sector to farm for loot. This Lost Sector is incredibly fast and doesn't contain many enemies, making it very easy to complete provided players have a solid loadout. The only area that may pose a small challenge is the boss room as the area is quite small, but this section isn't too challenging either.

This Lost Sector contains 4 Champions, with 3 of them being Unstoppable, and the other being a Barrier Champion. Unstoppable Champions are typically the easiest to handle for most players, so this Lost Sector won't be as hard as some others that contain more annoying Champion types.
